the angel was a gift to me last Solstice because i had miscarried one twin and worried about losing the other baby i was carrying. my twin sister gave me that special angel and told me not to worry and to believe that my dream would come true. and it DID! (and yes that is homemade and handstrung popcorn. i will refrain from nibbling if the mice will.)

what a cool tree...we have not strung popcorn in years. a stirring story about the angel...when you look at it remember the dream. what a neat tree topper...any signifigance there? hope you and yours have an incredible christmas and happy holidays.

thanks Brian. i love Scotch pines the best. the only significance is that i {heart} stars. stars of any kind. and it was rustic and large enough to be a nice topper for my tree. i have imagined for years that the babies i've lost are stars shining up in the sky now. and also, i wished upon about 30 shooting stars the night of the perseids for my IVF surgery to work and the wish came true. so i just love me some stars. ;)

So glad you got your tree up! It's so lovely. And I love your star. It's a bittersweet association to have, but all the more meaningful.

Hope you had a lovely Solstice!
